Meet the Team
Neil graduated from Loughborough University of Technology with a First Class M. Eng. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
Following an early career consulting on supply chain dynamics in the global Electronics industry, Neil built a reputation for delivering outstanding results in B2B tech both in startups as well as mature businesses. This included serving as CEO of Leximancer Inc., a tech-transfer text analytics start up from the University of Queensland; and managing the turnaround of the $35M UK business of SPSS (pre-IBM acquisition).
Overall, Neil has more than 30 years’ experience in B2B tech which includes extensive international experience.
What Chris Westfall said: “Neil leads in two ways, that in combination, inspire confidence, motivation, and strong results. First he establishes expertise; he expertly understands the market, the product or service, and the business problem. Second he establishes professional rapport without ego. So in the context of my work with him at Leximancer, Neil lead the organization to deliver remarkable results in severely constrained circumstances.”
Kurt holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Evaluation from Western Michigan University, a Diploma in International Development from the University of London, and a BS in Economics from The Colorado College.
Professionally Kurt has provided evaluation expertise to organizations ranging from local community initiatives to the World Food Program and this experience includes projects in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Uganda, El Salvador, Kenya and London as well as site visits of World Vision programs in thirteen countries.
Kurt’s vast experience in evaluation design has enabled The Right Five to develop a world-class assessment capability for those characteristics needed to identify a Pathfinder salesperson.
What Richard Gurganus said: “As the project manager for a cutting edge large international project, having Kurt as the vendor to lead our measurement and evaluation design work was critical to our success. Kurt is an incredibly talented individual that can take very complex situations and find solutions.”
Steve started his professional career in radio and television at the ripe age of 18. Quickly moving into the newsroom, he developed a passion for getting to the core of an issue quickly and making sure that information was presented clearly in a way that had impact.
Following a BA in Philosophy from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, his career has included senior leadership roles at two FORTUNE 500 companies, as well as serving for 12 years on the elected University of Colorado Board of Regents overseeing the operations and management of the $4.5 billion four-campus enterprise with nearly 65,000 students.
Steve brings his world-class communication skills to The Right Five helping our clients turn all candidates into advocates and potentially customers.
What Matt Ingwalson said: “Stephen is a consummate, inexhaustible professional. He has a mastery of and passion for the Web technologies that are increasingly driving public relations and marketing.”
Following a B.Sc. (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Nottingham University, Rob embarked on an accomplished, international, award-winning Sales and Management career in the semiconductor and software industries.
Beginning as a semiconductor engineer at Texas Instruments, Rob’s corporate career culminated after four years in Tokyo/Yokohama as VP Cadence Design Systems Japan responsible for 21% of global revenue. Success in these industries requires tenacity and intimate knowledge of the sales process to prosper, 25 quarters of consecutive growth at Cadence alone.
Rob’s startup experience, spanning 20 years, was gained primarily at IN2FAB Technology providing CEO and ‘Pathfinder’ roles. More recently Rob has been consulting with various tech startups, developing scalable business. He now brings this deep knowledge of Sales and its process, most notably Pathfinder, to The Right Five.
What Neil Hartley said: “I’ve known Rob and worked on and off with him since 1994. I’ve not met anyone who understands and ‘feels’ the sales process as intimately as him.”
